America is not a "christian" nation, it is a multi-denominational nation with a generally held common belief in God (be that Christian, Muslim, Jewish etc.). Please educate yourself as to what "blasphemy" really means and what the words of this song and the context of the musical (Jesus Christ Superstar) convey.

carly was amazing, but i think that the reason she was eliminated after this show was because of the song she chose to sing. america is a "christian" nation and the song is blasphemy n my opinion. she was one of myfavorites and i didn't vote for her on that night. BUT I DO AGREE THAT SHE WAS ONE OF THE BEST.
